Description
- We are seeking a skilled and experienced Automobile Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience in automobile and/or motorcycle (autobike) repair, maintenance, troubleshooting, and diagnostics.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, servicing, repairing, and ensuring the optimal performance and safety of vehicles and motorcycles.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and servicing on automobiles and motorcycles.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults using appropriate diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Repair and replace defective vehicle components, including engines, transmissions, braking systems, suspension systems, and electrical systems.
- Conduct inspections to identify vehicle issues and recommend appropriate repairs.
- Perform preventive maintenance to minimize vehicle downtime and improve performance.
- Test vehicles after repairs to ensure proper functionality and safety standards are met.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance activities, and parts used.
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies and industry regulations.
- Provide technical support and guidance to customers regarding vehicle maintenance and repairs.
- Keep the workshop clean, organized, and equipped for efficient operations.
- Stay updated on emerging automotive technologies and repair techniques.
Requirements
- Minimum of OND, Trade Test Certificate, Technical Certificate, or equivalent qualification in Automotive Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of proven experience in automobile and/or motorcycle (autobike) repair and maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of automotive mechanical and electrical systems.
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot faults effectively.
- Experience using automotive diagnostic equipment and repair tools.
- Good understanding of vehicle safety standards and maintenance procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and repair documentation.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
