Key Responsibilities
Strategy Execution & Category Support:
- Execute and ensure local implementation of the sourcing strategies defined per category and subcategory by the Indirect Category Manager in Africa.
- Collect, on a yearly basis, local initiatives from stakeholders after budget approval, and feed them into the regional category of roadmap.
- Participate in drafting technical and functional specifications with stakeholders
- Carry out market studies to identify trends, opportunities, and risks in the categories
Source-to-Contract (S2C):
- Analyze Purchase Requisitions (PRs) ideally from SAP and validate sourcing brief completeness, in line with the Procurement Policy (engagement & delegation rules above €50K / €100K).
- Manage RFx and tendering processes (RFI, RFQ, RFP, e-auctions), conduct negotiations, and implement contracts for indirect spending within his/her approval level.
- Apply procurement levers: should-cost, total-cost-of-ownership (TCO), benchmarking, bundling, best-cost-country sourcing.
- Ensure a minimum of three quotations per tender, in line with policy.
Contract & Supplier Management:
- Maintain and update the contract register; anticipate renewals (alert 6 months before expiry) to avoid auto-renewals and maverick spending.
- Evaluate local suppliers (delivery, quality, service, ESG) and produce a monthly supplier performance report.
- Build and sustain partnerships with strategic vendors, ensuring optimized Incoterms, payment terms, and working-capital release.
Reporting, Compliance & ESG:
- Track savings, KPIs, and category performance; feed into SIEVO.
- Ensure full compliance with the Group Procurement Policy, Delegation of Authority (DoA), and audit trail (no maverick spend).
- Embed ESG criteria in supplier selection and contract clauses, aligned with Group ESG goals.

Languages
Oral & written proficiency in English and/or Spanish or French
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in supply chain management, Business, Engineering, Finance, or Economics.
- Experience: 3–5 years in procurement, ideally with exposure to indirect spend categories (Capex, Logistics, MRO, Facility Mgmt, Energy, Professional Services).
- Certifications (preferred): CIPS, CPSM, CPM, or equivalent.
- Industry: FMCG / Food / Manufacturing experience is a plus.
