Job title : Analyst - Tax.Finance

Mission:

• Provide Administrative and Technical input to the entire operations of the Tax Function, maintain best practice in record tracking relating to MTNN and its Subsidiaries tax records, and assist MTNN Group in meeting her tax compliance and statutory obligations at both the Federal and State levels. 

Description:

• Prepare tax computation for provision and payment purposes
• Preparation of monthly income tax computation for provisioning purposes including:
• Execution of fixed assets module on Oracle
• Preparation of tax computation using input from the reporting team (TB, trade impairment schedules, IFRS 16 reports)
• Monthly submission of HFM reports (Cashflow, ETR, DT) to financial reporting team and validation of HFM submission
• Preparation of Consolidated tax computation for all entities for Group Tax submission
• Monthly tax computation on Tax Reporting Cloud System (TRCS) including:
• Integration of tax numbers on TRCS
• Validation of tax computation on TRCS
• Review of ETR and tax journals on TRCS for correctness
• Preparation of Monthly Effective Tax Rate analysis and communication of ETR trend analysis reporting to management
• Prepare and reconcile tax schedules for payments to FIRS and all 36 states' Boards of Internal Revenue as needed
• Store all tax-related documentation properly.
• Prepare annual transfer pricing documentation
• Preparation and E-Filing of income tax returns on FIRS’ portal
• Preparation and E-Filing of transfer pricing returns on FIRS' portal
• Preparation and E-Filing of CbC return on FIRS AEOI-CBCR Portal
• Preparation and E-Filing of VAT return on FIRS’ portal
• Preparation and E-Filing of WHT returns on FIRS’ portal
• Preparation and E-Filing of Stamp Duties return on FIRS’ portal
• Preparation and E-Filing of Withholding VAT return on FIRS’ portal
• Calculate the appropriate tax position for the business in response to audits and requests. 
• Implement effective tax payment procedures. 
• Use available tax technology tools to analyze data and evaluate tax impact of business decisions. 
• Prepare tax schedules for year-end statutory audits and ensure full adherence to MTNN policy and procedures. 

Education:

• First degree in Accounting, Economics or any Finance related discipline.
• Part-qualified in a recognized professional accounting or taxation certification (ICAN, CITN, or ACCA).
• Fluent in English 

Experience:

3 - 7 years’ experience in an area of specialisation; with experience working with others

• Experience working in a medium organization.
• Experience in Tax Consulting Firm or Tax Administration.
• Experience in audit or relevant accounting functions or tax administration.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (Oracle)
• Familiarity with the Nigerian tax policy environment
