Assistant Financial Controller

Qualifications HND/BSC in Finance, or related field. Minimum of 8 – 10 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Must be a Qualified Chartered Accountant. Managerial experience for a Large/Medium-sized organization. Knowledge of Treasury and Foreign Currency Operations. Knowledge of ERP, Microsoft Excel, and other financial planning software. Experience of Foreign Currency Purchases is an added advantage. Responsibilities: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts. Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger. Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions. Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure the integrity of financial information. Conduct periodic reviews and audits to ensure compliance with policies and procedures. Monitor and analyze manufacturing costs and variances. Work closely with the production team to understand cost drivers and implement cost-saving measures. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations. Assist in the preparation of tax returns and other regulatory filings. Perform financial analysis to support business decisions. Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management. Work closely with the finance team and other departments to achieve organizational goals.
