Company Driver

Our client is looking for a reliable company driver to assist the company with all transport-related duties in an efficient, safe and timely manner. The company driver’s responsibilities include dropping and picking up staff, collecting various packages, and maintaining a travel log to record work hours, travel-time and locations traveled to. You should also be able to perform routine checks on the company vehicle, regular cleaning and planning each route based on road and traffic conditions. To be considered for this role, you should have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record with no traffic violations. Job Responsibilities Map out driving routes ahead of time to determine the most expedient trip Pick up clients from the place and at the time they’ve requested Ensuring that the company vehicle is always parked in areas that permit parking in order to avoid towing. Adjust the route to avoid heavy traffic or road constructions, as needed Ensure the car seats are clean and comfortable for all riders Schedule regular car service appointments and report any issues Book car wash and detailing services to maintain interior and exterior cleanliness of the car Promptly informing the company of any tickets issued against the company vehicle during work hours. Keeping the company vehicle clean and properly maintained by performing regular washing, cleaning and vehicle maintenance. Providing accurate time records of the company vehicle’s coming and goings. Reporting any accidents, injuries, and vehicle damage to management. Requirements and Skills Proven experience as a Driver A valid driver’s license A clean driving record Sound knowledge of road safety regulations. Working knowledge of local roads and routes. The ability to utilize maps, GPS systems, and car manuals. Effective communication skills. Punctual and reliable. Knowledge of area roads and neighborhoods A polite and professional disposition National diploma, HND or Degree is preferred. Ability to remain calm in stressful driving situations (e.g. at rush hour)
