About the Role
- We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our team.
- The ideal candidate must have a strong accounting background within the construction or engineering industry, possess a relevant professional accounting certification, and be available to resume immediately.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, reports, and statements.
- Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Monitor project costs, budgets, and expenditures across construction and engineering projects.
- Process payroll, statutory remittances, and tax filings in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies, accounting standards, and relevant legislation.
- Prepare budgets, cash flow forecasts, and financial analyses to support management decisions.
- Liaise with auditors, tax consultants, banks, and regulatory agencies.
- Maintain proper documentation and accounting records for all financial transactions.
- Support management with financial planning and other accounting-related responsibilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Professional accounting certification (ICAN, ACCA, ACA, or equivalent) is mandatory.
- Minimum of 3–5years of accounting experience, with significant experience in the construction or engineering industry.
- Strong knowledge of project accounting, cost control, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail.
- Must be able to resume immediately.
