Job Summary
- We are seeking proactive, target-driven, and customer-focused Credit Officers to manage our Motorcycle and Tricycle Asset Finance portfolio across the listed locations.
- The successful candidates will be responsible for sourcing qualified customers, conducting credit assessments, facilitating the financing of motorcycles and tricycles, monitoring repayments, and ensuring the overall quality of the loan portfolio.
- This is a field-based role requiring frequent interaction with customers, transport unions, dealerships, and guarantors.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and onboard qualified customers for motorcycle and tricycle financing.
- Conduct customer acquisition, field visits, and business development activities within the assigned territory.
- Perform customer profiling, KYC verification, residential and business verification.
- Assess applicants' creditworthiness and repayment capacity.
- Prepare and submit credit appraisal reports for approval.
- Explain loan terms, repayment schedules, and financing agreements to customers.
- Coordinate the documentation and disbursement of financed motorcycles and tricycles.
- Monitor customers throughout the loan tenure to ensure timely repayments.
- Carry out routine field visits to track financed assets and maintain customer relationships.
- Follow up on overdue accounts and collaborate with the recovery team to minimize loan defaults.
- Maintain accurate customer records and update loan management systems.
- Ensure compliance with company credit policies, KYC requirements, and regulatory standards.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly portfolio performance reports.
- Develop and maintain relationships with motorcycle and tricycle dealers, transport unions, rider associations, and community leaders to drive business growth.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Achievement of monthly loan disbursement targets.
- Loan repayment and collection performance.
- Portfolio at Risk (PAR).
- Number of qualified customers onboarded.
- Default rate.
- Customer retention and satisfaction.
- Compliance with credit and KYC policies.
Requirements
- HND or Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Banking, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in credit administration, loan sales, asset financing, microfinance, fintech, or consumer lending.
- Experience in motorcycle, tricycle, vehicle, or equipment financing is an added advantage.
- Strong knowledge of credit appraisal, loan administration, and portfolio management.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to work independently and achieve sales and collection targets.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
